 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor comedian, activist, and actress. After immigrating to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as an actor for children. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and then from 2020 on - made her famous. Commercial appearances weren't her only activity she appeared in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was originally chosen to play the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub is an Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. At two years of age She and her parents immigrated to the U.S. as refugees to escape antisemitism, settling in West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub attended Beverly Hills High School briefly, but she quit after her second year. She then obtained a GED, and graduated with the Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and studied improv comedy.
